Dr. Patricia Moreno is a clinical psychologist and researcher at the University of Miami who is using her 2023 Early Career Investigator award to improving quality of life for people with cancer. Her work focuses on helping patients and survivors, across all backgrounds, cope, heal, and live well during and after treatment. She leads survivorship and supportive care programs at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and has been recognized nationally for her research, including a $5.2 million award from the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Moreno’s ultimate goal is simple yet powerful: to make sure every person facing cancer has the tools and support to thrive.
